Get ready to move, groove, and create in Rhythm Squad, a high-energy bucket drumming class for ages 7 and up! Students will explore rhythm, beat, and tempo while learning how to play as a team using everyday materials to make extraordinary music. Along with bucket drums and drum sticks, students can bring instruments like shakers, tambourines, bongos, and maracas.
This class blends STEM and art as students experiment with sound waves, vibration, and patterns to understand the science and math behind music. Through hands-on activities, they’ll explore how rhythm connects to math sequencing, sound frequency, and engineering principles—all while developing creativity, coordination, and teamwork.
By the end of the session, students will not only perform dynamic group rhythms but also appreciate the art and science that make music come alive.
